The Korea National Tourism Coportion opened a Tourist Center with one underground floor and three above ground at Chungmun Tourist Resort Complex. The Center. consisting of two annex buildings, will offer the coonvenience of the tourist visiting Cheju Island.
Started in December 1990, the Center has been completed at a cost of 64.4billion won.
The Tourist Center, built in unique traditional Cheju's thatched cottage stlye, will play a great role in offering information on Chung-mun Tourist Resort and other convenience facilities in Cheju Island.
Promotion hall, located at the basement of Exhibition Building is equipped with Multi-cube system, a miniature model of Cheju Island and computers for tourist information with a guide speaking fluently foreign languages.
Located at the right front of first floor, a small theater is designed to converted into a convention hall or an indoor performance hall, if necessary.
Meantimewhile, exhibition hall will be offered to those who wish to hold tourism-related exhibitions and events.
KNTC plans to use the open space of Tourist Center as stage for cultural events in Cheju Island.
